Inventory and Logistics Coordinator

Location: Missouri

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Freight quoting with consolidation
  • Scheduling all company shipments
  • Preparing invoices and shipping documents such as bill of lading, etc.
  • Negotiate rates with suppliers such as carriers and warehouse operators to ensure the required profi t margins as directed by the company are achieved
  • Daily correspondence will include responding to customers, shippers, and staff
  • Providing routing information and issuing shipping instructions to ensure deliveries arrive on time and to their correct location. You will also be responsible for tracking of resolved so as to avoid delays.
  • Examines and checks packages for damaged products while recording the proper documentation with carrier

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Management of Missouri Steel Shop incoming and outgoing inventory
  • Purchasing of steel shop inventory items
  • Perform quarterly physical count
  • Compile and submit monthly inventory report
  • Receive, review, and approve incoming packlists for accuracy
  • Examines and checks packages for damaged products while recording the proper documentation with carrier

Requirements:

  • Proficient with Excel, Word, and the Internet
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Maintain a positive work environment
  • Ability to write routine reports for corresponding employees of organization.
