Kabuki Curtain System

Our electronically controlled solenoid kabuki system lets any curtain fall quickly and reliably at the touch of a button. There are two different effects that can be achieved. – A single curtain drop to reveal upstage scenery. – A kabuki bag & curtain combination to first hide and then reveal upstage scenery with two separate sets of solenoids. Solenoids can be spaced up to 3′ apart and hold up to 11 lbs each.

Kabuki System - 110V Single Phase System

Controls 20 solenoids (two sets of 10)

Solenoid units consist of sturdy cast aluminum housing, a plastic curtain connector plate and a pipe clamp. Each solenoid has a load capacity of 11 lbs. and can be spaced up to 3′ apart for a single run. This system can control a single curtain of up to 60′ wide weighing up to 220 lbs., or two curtains of up to 30′ wide / 110 lbs.

Kabuki System - 30 amp Three Phase System

Controls 50 solenoids (five sets of 10)

Solenoid units consist of sturdy cast aluminum housing, a plastic curtain connector plate and a pipe clamp. Each solenoid has a load capacity of 11 lbs. and can be spaced up to 3′ apart for a single run. This system can control a single curtain of up to 150′ wide weighing up to 550 lbs., or up to five individually controlled curtains of up to 30’/ 110 lbs. each.
